Quanterra is a member of the consortium of Mountain Risks project as private institution. Quanterra works in close collaboration with EPFL and University of Lausanne for organization of workshops and field works that are the main activities of Quanterra within this project. Risks: from prediction to management and governance Mountain
Risks is a Marie Curie Research Training Network in the 6th
Framework Program
of the European Commission. Its focus is research and training in all
aspects of mountains hazards and risks assessment and management. This
European network intends to develop an advanced understanding of how
mountain hydro-geomorphological processes
behave and to apply this understanding to living with the hazards in
the long-term. The
4-year project started on January 1, 2007. The
Mountain Risk Project involves 14 partners institutes throughout Mountain
